Abstract
Introduction. As the emotional stability of Lithuanians has become one of the most sensitive and serious topic during the last few decades, a lot of attention paid to stress experienced at work. Nursing described as a stress causing profession, which often characterized by a high dissatisfaction with the work and professional burnout rates in most countries. The job of operating room nurse needs great responsibility and concentration; requirements for it are constantly growing. Work in an operating room significantly involves higher stress and exhasution levels than any other nursing job. Objective. To analyze operating room nurses experienced stress factors, occurrence of fatigue and relations between fatigue and stress at work. Methods. The research took place in Vilnius University hospitals from April to August in 2015. A qualitative research method - questionnaire was used. One hundred ninety three operating room nurses from 7 Vilnius city health care institutions took part. Stress factors experienced by operating room nurses, occurrence of fatigue and the interfaces between fatigue and stress at work evaluated during this research. [...].
