Abstract
Aim of the study was to find the prognostic criteria of curative laparotomy for patients with blunt abdominal trauma. Methods. The retrospective analysis of patient's case histories that had blunt abdominal trauma during 2001-2007 years was performed. As operation sheets were analyzed, the group of blunt abdominal trauma patients was divided into next two groups: the first group included cases where intraabdominal organs were injured, the other one- no surgery was performed or no intraabdominal organs injury was found during surgery. To estimate the independent significant clinical predictors of intraabdominal organs injury in blunt abdominal trauma patients, hemoglobin consentration, hematocrit, the amount of white blood cells, glycaemia, arterial blood pressure, heart rate and uktrasound findings before the operation were analyzed.
