LSMU Virtual Library is an integral search system allowing search in the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Library and Information Centre resources, LSMU Institutional Repository which contains e. documents hosted into Lithuanian Academic Electronic Library eLABa, in the subscribed databases, open access repositories and archives, other databases and electronic resources.

LSMU library electronic catalogue (http://lsmu.library.lt/) includes all textbooks and educational literature, all periodicals and all dissertations (LSMU MA and VA). Other publications of library are entered into the e-catalogue from 1993, but every year electronic catalogue is supplemented constantly with publications from previous years. The books and documents can be ordered after registration in e-catalogue. LSMU information systems username and password can be used for registration.
There are described more than 78 000 publications of MA and VA employees in LUHS publications database: monographs, textbooks, scientific articles and other documents. The publications of MA staff are included from 1950, VA staff publications – from 2001. It is possible to make search by the author, the title of publication or by source title, keywords etc. in the publications‘ database.
Lithuania Science Publications Database (PDB) is for review, preparation, saving and printing of bibliographic lists of personal publications and reports of science publications.LUHS intranet user name and password can be used for registration.
LSMU eDoc (Institutional Repository of scientific works e-documents) is a set of services and facilities designed for accumulation, management, long-term storage and dissemination of e-documents of intellectual activity of the members of the University community. The aim of its establishment is to collect and store scientific production, created by University community members, to provide an open access to the full-text documents not only for the members of University community, but also for society as a whole, thus increasing the visibility, readability and citation of this production. The following e-documents of scientific production of LSMU authors may be collected, stored and made available to the readers in the LSMU institutional repository: monographs, textbooks, schoolbooks and other research or study publications, doctoral dissertations and their summaries, master‘s theses, bachelor‘s theses, research or scientific articles, popular science articles, their preprints or postprints, papers of scientific conferences, seminars and other scientific or educational events, research reports, project reports, other digital research materials (audio and/or video materials), other materials.

Search gate is an integral search system allowing search in Lithuanian academic libraries and other databases.
If you want to order and renew borrowed items and to use additional possibilities please select your Institutional Virtual Library (IVL) from the List of Virtual Libraries and sign in inside this IVL. LUHS intranet user name and password can be used for registration. LSMU information systems user name and password can be used for registration.
The website of virtual library of Lithuania gives access to the catalogues of LABT (Network of Academic Libraries of Lithuania), LIBIS catalogue (Cumulative Catalogue of Lithuania Libraries), some other catalogues of foreign libraries, foreign databases, Lithuanian ETD and eLABa. There are given links to full text, but only registered users can use them. Please use the same reader‘s identificators and passwords as in ALEPH system of library. After being connected with usual username, the same as connecting to library catalogue, the user can choose the settings of current and future shows; to download the results of search and given requests to electronic shelf; to set automatic sending of the news by e-mail; to use library services, for example, to order the books and documents or cancel their ordering; to assign marks to search results and comment resources (as the marks are public, the other users can see your marks and use them); to express one‘s opinion about the results found.Virtual library of Lithuania works on a basis of Primo. Primo is a system of search and presentation of local resources (books, journals, doctoral dissertations of Lithuanian academic libraries network (LABT) ) and remote resources (electronic resources of foreign libraries, subscribed bases and similarly). The readers, after having found a resourse, can see the location of their storage and accessibility.
You can find information resources in virtual library of Lithuania, which are separated into three groups:
Library resources of Lithuanian academic and scientific institutions – information sources of 64 libraries catalogues;
Subscribed databases – access to 181 databases, subscribed by libraries of Lithuania. These databases are separated into 31 resources, which are named by the titles of institutions subscribing databases;
Other resources – Primo Central catalogue, open access databases and LIBIS cumulative catalogue.The search is done much more quicker in Primo Central catalogue, than from subscribed databases. There are cumulated more than 400 millions of records with links to the scientific publications from all over the world and other resources in Primo Central catalogue.There is introduced new possibility of results‘ enrichement – Recommendations, which can be provided both from Primo central catalogue and from the subscribed databases. The recommendations will help to find most popular and relevant scientific information, linked with the information already found.WEB 2.0 technologies integrated in the portal of Virtual Library of Lithuania enables the reader to get RSS news, to write comments, to rate sources, to attribute the marks in the catalogues of libraries, internet and for the sourses found in the databases.
