LSMU Representatives Visited Lebanon

LSMU International Relations and Study Center representatives organized the entrance examination for applicants to LSMU study programmes in Beirut (Lebanon) on 31st of July 2014. According to the exam results, 8 new Lebanese students are going to join the international student community at LSMU in the coming academic year.

During the visit, the University representatives met the parents of the current students at LSMUto discuss different issues about the studies. The parents appreciated this step from the University and appeared to be very interested in their children’s studies. It is believed that a dialogue between the University and families plays a positive role in study results.

For the first time in history, LSMU was pleased to welcome LSMU alumni representatives from Lebanon in their country. There have been over 200 Lebanese graduates from Kaunas Medical Academy, Kaunas Medical University and LSMU since 1996. The graduates were happy to share their experiences after the graduation and remember bright moments from their studies in Lithuania. A new LSMU initiative, aimed at establishing and maintaining relations with international alumni, was presented. There was also a discussion on what the graduates consider important in order to keep mutual relations with the University. The visit made it clear that the graduates support this University initiative and show interest in further meetings.
